"All in all the South India trip met all our expectations. Eldhose was a great traveling companion and spoke enough English that we had no problems. Sanu guided us with great patience and enabled us to see a great deal that we might have missed.
Sanu like many other local bird guides we met did not have proper binoculars. We gave him one of our pair of Nikon binoc with the hope of furthering his career. I am certain that many of the people coming to India to bird watch have unused binoculars at home. It would be nice if there were some way to encourage them to bring the extra pairs with them so they could help advance the profession of their fellow birders in India.
This was our third trip with Gurudongma; and as usual it was outstanding. Thank you so much."

"We were thinking of our visit to Kalimpong & Samthar & how well you had planned our trip and how well it fitted thew time available and our own abilities in terms of walking. We truly experienced a journey thatnwas custom designed to our needs and capabilities. We would never have been able to fit in all the things that we did without your arrangements and help. Your enthusiasm is wonderful.
We also enjoyed our time in Kaziranga and our stay at the Saturday Club in Calcutta.
We certainly Recommend your company to any one planning a trip to the areas you support and will try to return to do a different journey with your help. We consider ourselves very lucky to have ‘found’ your company ( via the Rough Guide) and to have met you."

"Thank you so much for the very well organized trip from last week. We have enjoyed it very much. Also Vera and Thomas learned a lot about village life and much more, since Sudesh was a very good guide. He and Thomas got on so well they never stopped talking. Or Thomas never stopped asking questions!
We also liked the homestay, specialy the last one near Turuk, such a nice family!
I have finally convinced Jaap to take small break, and do some walking. So we are thinking of doing the Barsey(Vershay) Rhododendron trek. The dates we are thinking of is some where, end of March. Please let me know if that is possible, greetings."

"Our trek went very well, good organization. Very good and pleasant people. Compliments for the cook, he is very good, even produces banana pie and a cake the last day. We hopefully will be able to do some more trekking in the future.
Greetings, and thanks again for the well organized trek."

"First of all it was a great trip as we knew it would be having been with you before in 2009. It is great to hand over dealing with a lot of the hassle about organization and transport to someone else with local knowledge and language. Consequently it was a huge relief to have Sudesh as our guide with his good humour and excellent English. We could find out so much more about India, politics, history the mountains , the culture etc and we felt we could ask him anything which enriches the whole experience and whiles away those frequent fog bound afternoons / evenings.
As usual we were very well looked after with hot water bottles, lights, comfortable bed, I especially appreciated the toilet tent. Andrew said we were like 'pampered poodles'. Special mention has to be made of Jitten who always seemed to be working his socks off producing gorgeous meals in the most difficult of situations he was an absolute star. All the people that came with us were. The food was fantastic . As ever thank you so much for arranging such a lovely trip and if you need any testimonials / more pics just ask. Have lots from the 2009 Singalila / kanchenjunga /samthar trips too
Very best wishes for success in your school....it must be very gratifying to see the first students doing so well at high school."

"Mayumi and I have just returned to our home in Japan after a truly wonderful time in Arunachal Pradesh.
We had no idea what to expect of our tour as it was to an entirely new area of India for us. I was unfamiliar with your company and your staff, and as you know. All of your arrangements were impeccable, the drivers were excellent, the region was spectacular and the birding was amazing.
Mayumi and I agree completely in saying that more than anything else Sudesh made the trip for us. Not only is he an incredible bird guide, but he is so personable and such a pleasure to travel with. He made tremendous efforts on our behalf, with the birding, with the arrangements, with helping arrange food suitable for one of our group who had some limitations, and with the various characters in our group. We were deeply conscious of what a difficult time it must have been for him, with so much on his mind given that his wife was in hospital, which makes the quality of his work even more amazing. He was always there, ready, keen and helpful, and invariably cheerful despite the stress he must have been under. I cannot commend him highly enough. I have travelled with many guides in many countries around the world and I rank Sudesh right up in my top three favourites; he has a tremendous knowledge of bird calls, and is astonishingly quick in the field. We also had a great deal of fun, and hope that we can travel again with him in the northeast in the not too distant future.
Once again my thanks for all of your excellent arrangements, which made our trip so enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending your services to my friends and colleagues."

Lovely house, but most of all amazingly great tour ...” We had a weeks tour for my partner and I through West Bengal arranged to our specific requirements through the uniquely brilliant team of general Singh at gurodongma . Fantastic home stays, awesome food , wonderful picnics , relaxed trekking , great adventure activities , totally inclusive of all costs - at no point were we asked to pay extra - except for beers , knowledgeable and polite personal guides , a friendly team who were happy to entertain us or let us have time alone as we wished , all organised with absolute attention to detail . They organised everything so well - it was almost miraculous how slick everything ran - it is no doubt due to a really well run and well organised team with very high standards . The only downside is at both the teams main bases/ guest houses the wifi is very intermittent and dependent on a 3G dongle which explains the slow response to emails at times when planning the trip making us worry it wasn't well organised . I can't recommend them highly enough.
